What is AAU Nationals?
AAU Volleyball Nationals is an annual national tournament that showcases the best amateur volleyball players in the United States. It is organized by the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing amateur sports programs for athletes of all ages.
AAU Volleyball Nationals is a highly anticipated event for both players and spectators, and it has become a staple in the volleyball community.
The Investment and Exposure
For any volleyball player or parent, attending the AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL can be a major investment of time and money. But it's that investment that will benefit the player's development, give them exposure to college coaches and overall, an awesome life experience.
When the decision is made to attend AAU Nationals, you're making the decision for your player to get continuous training through the summer. They are getting more reps than the players who's season ended in May. Your player is getting more competition reps than the player who made the decision to NOT go to AAU's. Those extra weeks of training and playing will develop your player's skills even faster.
Attending AAU Nationals provides players with the opportunity to compete against teams from all over the country. The tournaments brings together teams from the west coast, east coast, mid-west, the south, and even Hawaii and Puerto Rico! This gives the teams a chance to play against opponents that they may not normally face during their regular season. By being exposed to teams from all over the USA, this can help improve a players skills and gain valuable experience in a competitive setting.
In addition to the high level of competition, AAU Nationals also provides players with the opportunity to be seen by college coaches (once they are 15's and up). Many college coaches attend the tournament in search for future talent. If you're a player hoping to play at the college level, attending a tournament like AAU Nationals can be a great way to get noticed and make connections with coaches.
Life Experience
The benefits of attending AAU Nationals go beyond just the competition and the exposure to college coaches. The tournament is also a chance to build lasting relationships with your current team mates, but also meet new people and make connections with players and families from all around the country.
Spending 4 days competing together, eating meals together, going on adventures together, this builds a special bond between players as well as families. Our teams that have attended AAU Nationals in the past have always come home with lasting friendships that go beyond being a teammate. Not only do the girls grow closer, but the parents of the team really bond and build those friendships as well.

Orlando, Florida
With AAU Nationals taking place in Orlando, FL each year, what better way to kill two birds with one stone, tournament AND vacation. Orlando is home to some of the worlds most popular theme parks like the happiest place on earth, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios.
Majority of our families that take this opportunity to compete at Nationals add a good amount of days to make the trip a vacation. Taking time to explore the city and enjoy all it has to offer can make the trip even more memorable.

Whether your team is AMAZING or just average, make the decision to go with your team to AAU Nationals. The experiences that you will give your player by making the decision to go is what she will remember for a lifetime. Sports will always have it's intense moments, and will have its ups and downs, but when the game is over, and you realize what was so important in the thick of it really isn't that important anymore; the life experience memories are what become important.
The laughter, the fun, the memories are what we remember. Build the long lasting relationships with the friends and families on your team because they are going through the same things you are.
